
Fête de la Truffe et des Papilles (21ème édition)
Organised by the Tourist Office. A traditional festival celebrating Burgundy truffles and Burgundy gastronomy!
Organised by the Tille and Ignon Valleys Tourist Office, this festive gourmet day celebrates the Burgundy truffle – an iconic local product – through tastings, demonstrations and entertainment.
It begins with the traditional fresh truffle market at 10.00 am. Demonstrations of truffle hunting (with a truffle-hunting dog), induction ceremonies by the Burgundy Truffle Brotherhood in traditional costume, a market featuring local producers and a variety of entertainment will provide the highlights of the day.
9.00 am: Certified truffle inspection
10.00 am: Official opening of the fresh truffle market, accredited by the French Federation of Truffle Growers
10.30 am: Induction ceremonies by the Burgundy Truffle Brotherhood. Truffle hunting with a truffle-hunting dog (truffle-hunting demonstration)
11.00 am: Lunch provided by the Union Commerciale Par’Is (price €25 – tickets on sale at the Tourist Office)
11.30 am: Dance performance by the folk group ‘La Bourguignonne’
12 noon: Guided wine and truffle tasting led by Arole Dupaty and Patrice Gillard (price €20 – tickets on sale at the Tourist Office)
Giant truffle omelette organised by the Confrérie de la Truffe de Bourgogne (price €32 – book at Boucherie Roussel in Is-sur-Tille)
2.00 pm: Truffle hunting with a truffle-hunting dog (demonstration of truffle digging)
3.00 pm: Dance performance by Escale 21
5.00 pm to 7.00 pm: Concert by the band London Calling
