En quelques mots
I was born on 4 August 1931 in Dijon (don't ask me the time) in a company that had up to 1,200 employees.
I haven't lived in Dijon for a long time now, but in Is-sur-Tille. I've been a listed building since 2004, because I'm the only one in the world that's still 'alive' today.
Carefully restored and maintained by very attentive volunteers, I lead a peaceful life with them. To think that I should have ended my life in a scrapyard, swallowed by the ferocious jaws of destructive monsters.
During the last European Heritage Days, I was able to stretch my legs and even cover a few kilometres, much to the delight of many lovers of history and fine mechanical engineering.
I like to say "93 years old and not a wrinkle", it defines me and suits me perfectly.
Have you found out who I am?
... I'm the Pétolat locomotive and I live on the Lavières tourist train at Is-sur-Tille in the Côte d'Or.
