Verger conservatoire de Gemeaux
En quelques mots
A conservation garden has been created behind the church. The aim of this orchard is to conserve old fruit varieties.
Covering an area of around 700m 2, 26 trees (medlar, quince, apple, plum, cherry, pear, peach and fig) have been planted, along with over thirty shrubs (blackcurrant, raspberry and redcurrant).
Each tree or shrub is accompanied by an educational display panel.
4 nesting boxes and 3 insect hotels have also been installed to provide a home for small-scale garden wildlife.
