Les biquettes d’Aur – GAEC Metolant
En quelques mots
The Gaec du METOLANT!
In 2016, Auriane Moyemont decided to set up on her father Jean-Michel's cereal farm, adding a goat farm with goat cheese processing and direct sales.
The farm now has 45 Chamois Alpine dairy goats. They are fed mainly on grain, hay, alfalfa and straw produced on the farm's 188 ha of UAA, and graze from March to October, weather permitting.
All the milk collected daily (130 litres at the peak of lactation) is processed every morning. We respect the goats' natural cycle, so there is no milk from mid-December to mid-February (cheese sales open in early March).
Farm sales are available from March to December, 5 km from Is-sur-Tille towards Avelanges, on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 3pm to 6pm.
We are also present at the Grancey le Château market on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month from 10.00am to 1.00pm, and at the Savigny le Sec market on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month from 9.30am to 12.00pm.
We organise an open weekend with a farmers' market at the farm in May, and take part in a number of events throughout the year. To find out where we are, follow us on Facebook "Les Biquettes d'Aur".
