Visite de l’escargot Bourguignon
En quelques mots
EARL Marcouyoux is a family farm located 20 minutes from Dijon, in Vernot (21120), in a quiet, green setting.
We produce snails, marketed under the name "L'escargot Bourguignon", and fruit, transformed into sorbets, marketed under the name "Les Sorbets du Verger". The breeding of our "gros gris" snails (Hélix Aspersa), a cousin of the "petit gris", begins in April with the reproduction, laying and incubation of the eggs. Our snails are then reared on a natural meadow specially laid out for their well-being, reaching maturity in September. Their diet is made up exclusively of plants that we sow in the parks and a supplement of cereals and "limestone" to strengthen their shells. Visits from April to October, by appointment. In July and August, tours are organised on Wednesdays and Fridays at 3pm.
As a general rule, I'm on the farm very often, but it's best to phone beforehand.
