Founded in 1511, the estate embodies centuries of local history. Its old stones, carefully restored, preserve its authenticity while offering modern comforts adapted to the expectations of today's travellers. Situated on the edge of the Moloy national forest, it overlooks the River Ignon, creating a peaceful atmosphere conducive to contemplation. About us
A place steeped in history and renewal
Founded in 1511, this estate began life as a forge, a place to live and work that was essential to the local community. For almost 300 years, hammers rang out on the anvil, forging not only metal, but also a part of Burgundy's history. From family to family, the estate has evolved over the generations, receiving different names such as La Forge de l'Abergement, Le Château de l'Abergement, La Tour de Labergement and now APPART en THÈSE!

Over time, the property fell into disrepair, until Brigitte and Hervé, your current hosts, decided to bring it back to life. With the help of their family, they undertook a meticulous restoration, breathing new life into this forgotten place. This project, born out of a love of heritage and a desire to pass on the legacy, has transformed the property into a warm and welcoming space, where every stone seems to tell a story.

For them, this estate is not just a place to stay, it's a place to share and create memories. Weddings, family reunions, unforgettable moments... they have imagined this place to welcome every family, every story, and make it a chapter in its own life.

A New Life Full of Meaning
When Brigitte and Hervé retired, they felt the need to give this place a new meaning. Transformed into a place of serenity and escape, Appart en THÈSE is now designed to welcome other families, other travellers, who, like them, are looking for a moment to pause and recharge their batteries.
Their aim is to keep this heritage alive over time, so that others can in turn enrich the history of this estate.

Today, Appart en THÈSE is much more than just a place: it's a bridge between past and present, an invitation to slow down, savour life, and put down roots in an environment steeped in serenity and history.
